This Sunday, May 6th, at 3pm, an exhibition will be opened in the main library, Tryggvagata 15. The exhibition is an outcome of a cooperation between Reykjavík City Library and Myndlistaskólinn í Reykjavík (Reykjavík School of Arts) which for the fourth time stand for comic competition. This year, just under 60 contribution were received from people between the age of 10 and 20+. As usual, the competition was dedicated to a comic hero and as Astro Boy will turn 60 this year the theme of the competition was MANGA.
This Saturday, May 5th, is the international free-comics day, so you could certainly say that the coming weekend is dedicated to comics here in the Reykjavík City Library.
The exhibition stands until the 10th of June.
