Foldasafn branch of Reykjavík Municipal Library opened in December 1996.
Its collection of 62,000 volumes includes books and periodicals in Icelandic and other languages, videos, DVDs, audio books, language courses and multimedia. The library has a computer room and reading room.

Library users have access to the Internet, multimedia and word processing. Users are charged for computer use according to the tariff.
