The Women's Story Circle

The Women’s Story Circle is a forum where women of all origin exchange stories, experiences and cultural backgrounds and take part in creative activities as well as excursions. It is open to women who are interested in meeting other women, sharing stories and ideas and having a nice time in good and relaxed company.
The Women’s Story Circle gives women who want to practice the Icelandic language the perfect opportunity to express themselves in Icelandic and enhance their language skills. It is also possible to learn about Icelandic culture, literature and customs. An emphasis is put on the participants’ active participation in the development of the project.
The Women’s Story Circle is a co-operation between Reykjavik City Library and W.O.M.E.N. in Iceland, an intercultural organisation for women. All women are welcome to the Main Library first Sunday of every month at 2 p.m. Coffee and a light snack are provided as well as a play area for the children.
