Writing and Illustration Workshop | Ages 9-12

Do you want to create a funny and exciting story?

Short, creative course for 9-12 year old kids who want to write stories and / or draw.
During the course, the kids learn how to create fun characters and how to write or draw a story that is both funny and exciting.

Eva Rún and Blær are the authors of the books about Santa Claus Stúfur; Stúfur stops being Santa Claus and Stúfur solves a mystery. Now they are working on a new book about Stúfur and the participants will get a glimpse into the creative process and get a change to take part in it!

The workshop is connected to the exhibition Skissur verða að bók.

Supervisors:
Eva Rún Þorgeirsdóttir is a writer and writes books and scripts for TV material for kids. She has written the books about Santa Claus Stúfur, the thriller series about Lukka and the idea machine and the meditation book Ró. In addition, she has worked as a screenwriter and producer of TV shows on KrakkaRÚV.

Blær Guðmundsdóttir is an illustrator, children's book author and graphic designer. She has illustrated children's books, incl. the books about Stúfur. In 2019, she released her first own book, Sipp, Sippsippanipp and Sippsippanippsippsúrumsipp - the sisters who did not intend to marry princes. Blær won the FÍT Prize 2020 for this debut and was also nominated for the City of Reykjavík's Children's Book Prize in the category of illustrated books.
