Bike Ride | Rendezvous with Iceland’s Female Authors

A bike tour around the poetic landscapes and literary backdrops of Icelandic women authors and poets with readings from their works at select locations. The event is held on the occasion of International Women’s Day, March 8th.

The tour starts by the entrance to Grófin City Library. We recommend clothes and bikes that suit the weather conditions. Please, meet up on time. The bike ride takes around 90 min and then we  end the trip with a café visit.

Tour leaders: Árni Davíðsson from The Icelandic Cyclists' Federation and Sunna Dís Másdóttir, poet.

We invite you to take part in the monthly bike rides one Saturday morning from January to May. This new series of events is a cooperative project of the Reykjavik City Library, the cycling education group, Hjólafærni á Íslandi and The Icelandic Cyclists' Federation with a grant from Miðborgarsjóður Reykjavíkurborgar.

The bike tours are free and you are all welcome to take part.
