Bike Ride | Rendezvous with the Neighbourhood Poets

Come along on an energizing and nourishing bike ride and listen to Guttormur recite poems and prose by poets from the neighbourhood. Get to know the poets in Hlíðar and Háaleiti, travel back in time, chase cats in Kringlan and robbers in Öskjuhlíð.

The tour starts by the entrance to Kringlan City Library in the car basement. Please, meet up on time. The bike ride takes around 90 min and then we’ll stop at a café at the end of the trip. 

Tour leaders: Árni Davíðsson from The Icelandic Cyclists' Federation and Historian Guttormur Þorsteinsson.

This series of events is a cooperative project of the Reykjavik City Library, the cycling education group, Hjólafærni á Íslandi and The Icelandic Cyclists' Federation with a grant from Miðborgarsjóður Reykjavíkurborgar.
