Perennials are plants that lives more than two years and regrow each spring. 

Guðríður Helgadóttir will come to the Community Café and tell you all about perannials. What species are good for Icelandic conditions, about suitable places for planting, what soil to use, all about fertilisers, and how to care for perannials.  

Guðríður Helgadóttir is a gardener and biologist. She has worked in gardening related work throughout her career and has educated the public about gardening in various ways. In 2023, Guðríður published the book Fjölærar plöntur (Perennial Plants).
